C35 – Embracing the barriers: applying common sense and tactics

2 hrs Classroom session, (thursday May 24th, 1000 hrs)

“The most important six inches on the battlefield is between your ears.” ~ Gen. James “Mad Dog” Mattis

This class will focus on decision making, the return of common sense, and the use of man-made barriers (e.g., doors, windows, walls, ceilings, and other construction features) for a safer, more efficient fireground. Together, we’ll discuss the most effective way to apply the latest information available and how it applies to several scenarios, regardless of your organization’s resources. This presentation is for front line officers and those aspiring to be. Let’s talk about what is the most applicable action for a given situation with consideration to your staffing levels.  Regardless of who or what is available at the time the brass bells rings, the circumstances may change but the purpose remains the same. Gain the confidence you need to know you’re making the right choice.
