Class Details

This is an all ranks and all experience levels presentation that is dedicated to preparing firefighters for the first few key moments on the fire ground. This presentation gives the students the tools necessary to put the troops to work and get things done. This is a very interactive class with lots of student participation with scenarios that are based around scene size-ups, establishing command, and then the student in the hot seat has to work through the scenario presented to them discussing what size and where they’ll place their first line, how they search the building, and how they coordinate ventilation with everything else. The class ends with a WHY WE SEARCH section discussing some first hand fires over my career and why firefighters should always expect victims and put them first.
